The Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) on February 27, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Issuance of the Physical Form of CBN Registration Certificate (CRC).
The following has been stated namely: -
• Under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rules, 1985, manufacturers of psychotropic substances must register with the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) and receive a unique registration number.
• To address earlier issues, the Central Bureau of Narcotics has started issuing a physical CBN Registration Certificate (CRC) with enhanced security features.
• Companies can apply for the certificate in the prescribed format via email or other modes.
• Applications will be scrutinized before issuing the certificate, and companies must ensure accurate details and proper documentation.
• The notice is issued for awareness of all registered companies and stakeholders.
